Wonderfully Heartfelt!!

!! I was referred this book by my friend as I really have never been into war stories but I was taken aback by the feelings that this little gem brought out in me. I laughed, I cried, I was terrified in a lot of parts and that is what made this book so fantastic for me. To me if you read a book and don’t feel anything then it wasn’t worth the time but this was definitely not the case with this one, I loved it!! I remember my father telling me war stories but none of them were ever this clearly depicted. To say I was hooked would be an understatement, there was no putting this down until I had to and only because it ended. Thank you Mr. Osborn you have renewed my faith in war time stories!!

A Remarkable Story of Love and Survival

The Remnants is the intricately woven narrative of two young lovers tested by the gruesomeness of the First World War. This first novel by author W.P Osborn will tug on your emotions as you experience how the immense difficulties of the period affect each character. The determination of these individuals to survive and to love is equal to the intensity of war itself. Mr. Osborn is clearly personally touched by this historical era. His passion to honor his grandfather thru the telling of The Remnants has resulted in a remarkably well told story of the battles themselves and of the upheaval of lives and loves. The Remnants is truly the kind of read that stays on your mind long after the last page.

Captivating. One of my newest favorites.

"The Remnants" is now one of my favorite war/romance stories. I read this book in a day since I liked it a lot. The story revolves around the romantic developments between our protagonists Danny and Rose. Danny has to go off to fight in World War I - twice. He endures the horrors of one of the most brutal conflicts in human history. Rose endures her own struggles - being an ocean apart from her husband, both literally and emotionally.. Danny and Rose are brought to life by the author in detail. I won't give anything away, but I absolutely loved the book. I highly recommend this book to readers who want to read an original historical/romantic novel.
